The brownfield site, a former industrial premises of Airtec Filtration, had been subject to fire damage, leaving the building severely compromised.

Oliver Chan, Business Development manager at Westchurch Homes, said: “Westchurch are delighted to have entered into our second contract with Your Housing Group to deliver 46 affordable homes to St Helens.

“The site at Manor Street has been in desperate need of redevelopment for a number of years having been frequently fly tipped and more recently fire damaged.

“Westchurch Homes look forward to constructing 46 energy efficient homes that will make a major difference to St Helens housing demand.”

The development is being supported with grant funding from Homes England through Your Housing Group’s strategic partnership agreement, and £690k from Liverpool City Region Combined Authority through its brownfield fund.

Your Housing Group manages around 29,000 homes across the north-west, Yorkshire, and the Midlands.
