Social landlord Orbit has appointed a new head of Property Improvements.

Matt Bundy, who was previously head of Major Works at Westminster City Council, will lead on Orbit’s large-scale investment works across its property portfolio, including decarbonisation.

Commenting on his appointment, Matt said: “Despite the impact of numerous national and global issues, Orbit has continued to invest in its homes and communities.

“Orbit is continuously assessing how it can improve existing homes and deliver a better experience for customers.

“I’m really excited to see how we can develop the delivery of our major works programmes as part of our commitment to ensure that everyone has a safe and comfortable home and continue on our journey to improve the energy efficiency of our housing stock as we progress towards the UK’s 2050 net-zero-carbon target.”

Orbit manages around 46,000 affordable and social rent homes largely throughout the Midlands and the east and south of England.
